About the Artist

“The story behind a painting is often as important as the painting”.

"A Paintings Story, Is What Words Are To Music"

Kern was born in the middle of the 20th century near the southernmost point of the Great Lakes in the industrial city of Lorain, Ohio. From a young age, Kern showed a keen interest in science, space, and art. Despite his aspirations, Kern pursued a career as a professional Tower Crane operator and later became an inventor, hoping that it would one day give him the freedom to pursue his passion for painting. After working on a mile-long bridge and facing a period of unemployment, Kern was excited to be hired for the construction of a large sports arena, which would quickly solve many of his problems. However, while en route to the job, God intervened. He realized that he had been blessed with a gift that he had not used to glorify God. He made the difficult decision to quit the job and pursue his lost talent. Despite facing uncertainty with no job, money, materials, or inspiration for his art, Kern showed up at the job and, on pure faith, decided to quit. What followed was far beyond what many thought was possible.
